Mona Black

Mona Black is a Detroit local electronic music enthusiast. With major influences such as Prince, Frankie Knuckles, and George Clinton, she is known for spinning eclectic sets, never limiting herself to any specific genre. Whether it's house, funk, soul, or disco, you are never going to get just one thing from this artist. Mona has spent the last 6 years playing at all of the major local house music venues in the Detroit music scene. In recent times, she has opened for artists such as Channel Tres, Stacey Pullen, and Mochakk. To her, it’s all about creating a space that allows everyone to find something in the music they can connect to. Find her playing tracks that get you moving and grooving with her unique vibe and realness. Regardless of tempo, style, or popularity, no music is off-limits for Mona. Her soul’s purpose is to create a unified environment on the dance floor that is rooted in love and kindness, period.
