Movement is held in downtown Detroit in Hart Plaza. The festival takes place over Memorial Day Weekend. The first day of the 2026 festival is Saturday, May 23 and the last day of the festival is Monday, May 25.

Monday, May 25: 2pm-11pm

Movement 2026 wristbands will begin shipping closer to the event. Please remember to have your wristbands shipped to an address where you or your authorized representative will be able to receive them. You will be notified via email when your wristbands have been shipped.
If you lose or damage your wristband, visit the on-site Box Office tent for a replacement. There is a $20 fee for a replaced wristband and the festival is not responsible for lost, stolen, or damaged wristbands.

Yes. Kids 12 and under enjoy free admission to the festival when accompanied by a parent.
Yes. If you have a weekend pass, you will be allowed to enter and exit the festival at any time during festival hours. If you purchase a 1-Day Pass, you will be allowed to enter and exit the festival on that day only. Please note, you will be required to properly scan your RFID wristband out of the festival each time you exit.
You must have a government-issued ID ready to purchase or consume alcohol at the event. Please see this list of acceptable forms of identification.
Security will accept expired ID cards ONLY if accompanied by DMV renewal documentation. If your ID was lost or stolen, you must bring a government-issued interim license or passport.

Yes. Please return any found items, and inquire about lost items, in the Security Office. The office will be located near the lower level restrooms directly outside the Pyramid Amphitheater.
For immediate medical attention, please speak to the nearest security guard on-site. We also have multiple satellite medical tents on the grounds as well as several roaming EMS personnel to assist with your medical questions and/or needs.
- Bring your medication in a prescription bottle with your name on the label.
- Be prepared to present a state-issued photo ID to match.
- The date on the container cannot be expired.
- Do not bring more meds than you need for the day, i.e. only bring the amount of dosage needed for the duration of the event as prescribed on the container.

- Over the counter medication is not allowed. Vitamins are not allowed.
- We allow unlimited re-entry throughout the duration of the festival for individuals that need access to their belongings, including over the counter medication, vitamins, etc.

- Medicines needing to be inhaled or smoked are prohibited unless in a prescribed inhaler.
- Prescription medications are allowed in a sufficient supply for the day.
- Bottle contents will be verified by medical personnel at the entry gates.
- If you are at the gate and have medical questions or needs prior to entering the festival grounds, please ask to speak to any of our roaming medical staff personnel and or EMS.
- For more information while on the festival grounds, please speak to one of our medical staff personnel at one of the satellite medical tents on site.
For press and photo credential requests, please check back for the 2026 application. Walk-up requests for press/photo credentials will not be granted.
Complimentary water refill stations will be available in GA & VIP areas. Empty plastic hydration packs and empty water bottles are allowed. No glass allowed.
Official Movement Weekend events & afterparties will be posted on the website closer to the event.
No printed materials, including flyers and stickers, may be distributed on the festival property, without prior written consent from the organizers.
