Movement is held in downtown Detroit in Hart Plaza. The festival takes place over Memorial Day Weekend. The first day of the 2026 festival is Saturday, May 23 and the last day of the festival is Monday, May 25. Festival hours are as follows:

Sunday, May 24: 2pm-Midnight
Monday, May 25: 2pm-11pm

Personal lockers will be available so you can free up your hands and avoid losing any personal items during the event. Keep your personal belongings secure and your phone charged by reserving a personal locker with all-day access to your locker and cell charging stations. When you reserve a locker online, you will receive an email 24 hours before the fest containing your locker location, locker number, and lock combination so you can simply find and use your locker. You will have unlimited access to your locker.
